Course information Kuliah ini berisi materi mengenai peran rekayasa dan desain dalam masyarakat, profesi insinyur, aspek-aspek dalam rekayasa, elemen kunci dalam analisis rekayasa, langkah penyelesaian masalah, konsep energi, konversi dan konservasi, serta pengenalan beberapa disiplin rekayasa berbasis keilmuan and etika dalam rekayasa.

 

This course covers engineering and design in society, engineer as a profession, aspects in engineering, key elements of engineering analysis, steps in solving problems, concept of energy, conversion and conservation, and some examples of engineering discipline as well as ethics in engineering.

Learning outcomes 1.  Mahasiswa dapat menjelaskan prinsip-prinsip sains dan matematika yang diterapkan dalam penyelesaian masalah rekayasa.

2.  Mahasiswa dapat menjelaskan beberapa disiplin rekayasa dan keterkaitannya.

3.  Mahasiswa dapat menjelaskan isu kontemporer yang berkaitan dengan disiplin rekayasa.

4.  Mahasiswa dapat menjelaskan bahwa alternatif solusi permasalahan rekayasa perlu mempertimbangkan beberapa aspek,  antara lain: ekonomi, lingkungan, sosial, etika, keselamatan.

5.  Mahasiswa dapat menjelaskan bahwa permasalahan rekayasa bersifat multidisiplin.

1.   Students are able to explain the principles of science and mathematics which are applied in solving engineering problems .

2.   Students are able to explain some engineering disciplines and their linkages.

3.   Students are able to explain contemporary issues related to engineering disciplines.

4.   Students are able to explain that the alternative solutions of engineering problems need to consider several aspects, which covers but not limited to: economic, environmental, social, ethical and safety issues.

5.   Students are able to explain the multidisciplinary nature of engineering problems.
